Philippines already breached 1,000 COVID-19 cases

Department of Health has announced the biggest single-day increase so far; adding two hundred seventy two (272) new positive cases of COVID-19 in the country.

The total number of persons infected with COVID-19 in the Philippines is now at 1,075 with the death toll rises to 68.

COVID-19 is a respiratory illness caused by the novel coronavirus or SARS-CoV-2, which outbreak started in China’s Wuhan City in Hubei province in late 2019.

The coronavirus causes mild symptoms such as fever and cough but it can be high risk for other people, especially older adults and those with underlying health issues.
